Skeleten
With a broad taste palette and curatorial ear, Skeleten has drawn from different scenes and sounds to pull together two dynamic and boundary-pushing lineups. In Eora/Sydney, an extended night will be guided by FBi alumni Killian’s post-punk and deep bassline inflected club experience, Shady Nasty and their weirdo breed of punk, a DJ set from prolific musical polymath Jono Ma, and a b2b set from Adi Toohey & DJ Earl Grey to keep the energy burning into the early hours. While Naarm/Melbourne promises a deep listening experience, with selections from local favourites Pjenne & Millu and a dubbed-out live trio set from Other Joe, lay the foundation for an unforgettable immersive experience.
Skeleten’s second album exploded onto the scene earning widespread global recognition, with stellar write-ups from Stereogum, NPR, Pitchfork, FADER, and Pigeons & Planes, remixes from Spray and Axel Boman, capped off by a standout set at Golden Plains alongside PJ Harvey, Fontaines DC, Kneecap, and more. That’s alongside spins on radio stations across Australia, Europe, the UK, and US turning heads both at home and abroad – even catching the attention of The Gorillaz.
‘Mentalized’ comes off the back of Skeleten’s 2023 debut album, ‘Under Utopia’, which was praised by NME and hailed as “thoughtful and immaculately layered dance music”.
A year and a half later, ‘Mentalized’ marks a distinct evolution in Skeleten’s sound, attitude, and style – a rich sonic universe shaped by hypnotic yet deeply emotive songwriting and production, and the sound of genuine love and reverence for his craft
The record is relaxed, chorused by a jostling electronic melody dispersed with synthy riffs, and beams of sound that feel like sonic stretches over your ears. It’s a delight. -GQ
Hypnotic, luscious and rich, Sydney artist Russell Fitzgibbon expertly combines fuzzy guitar lines, deep house and trip-hop to create gentle, dreamy pop on his second album as Skeleten. – ABC
Summer Dance After Dark
When the sun sets, AFTER DARK at Liberty Hall kicks off, and we’re turning the energy all the way up. This is where things get deeper, darker, and louder—an all-night affair with some of the most forward-thinking selectors in the game.
Leading the charge is Saliah. The British-Lebanese DJ is a master of fusion, blending bass-heavy SWANA electronica with remixes and cross-genre magic that take dancefloors by storm. With heavyweight co-signs from Sherelle and BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar, Saliah’s sets are high-energy, high-impact, and impossible to forget.
A force in Australian club culture for over a decade, Nina Las Vegas needs no introduction. A tastemaker, label boss, and boundary-pushing DJ, she’s been at the forefront of electronic music with NVL Records, championing new sounds from artists like Kota Banks, Swick, and Ninajirachi. Expect a set packed with bass, house, and club anthems—high-energy and relentless from start to finish.
Joining her is Nash—a DJ who thrives in the depths of the night. Hypnotic, punchy, and raw, his sound keeps the energy locked at peak intensity. A selector who knows exactly when to push the tempo and when to let the groove ride, Nash ensures the dancefloor never stops moving.
And kicking off the evening, Brown Suga Princess—a Naarm-based DJ and community organiser who brings bass, footwork, and jungle with pure style and soul. Their sets are a reflection of their South Asian heritage, creating space for movement, expression, and collective euphoria.
This is it—the final Summer Dance of the season, and we’re going out with a bang. Get ready for a night of unrelenting energy, unforgettable music, and a dancefloor that won’t let up until the very last beat. We’ll see you there.
Summer Dance
No one likes to say goodbye, but at Summer Dance, it’s one of the things we do best. After an unforgettable season, the Summer Dance 2025 series is coming to a close with our biggest lineup yet.
Taking charge of closing duties, the dancefloor alchemist himself, Yung Singh, will be holding it down as he fuses together a rich tapestry of hip-hop, jungle, and club anthems—all while nodding to his Punjabi heritage. A student of the music that raised him, Singh is known for his boundary-pushing selections and high-energy performances. From his BBC Radio 1 residency to that now-iconic Vampire Weekend drop at Boiler Room Melbourne, he continues to rewrite the rulebook of club culture. Now, for the first time, he steps onto the Summer Dance stage, inviting us into his inner circle for one night only.
Next on our Summer Dance journey: MESSIE B2B C.FRIM—a collision of underground powerhouses. MESSIE has been going from strength to strength, remixing Fred again..’s Places to Be ft. Anderson .Paak and CHIKA, commanding international stages supporting the likes of Sammy Virji at London’s legendary Fabric, and tearing up festivals like Beyond The Valley and Wildlands. At her side, C.FRIM, a force to be reckoned with. A curator of controlled chaos, she moves seamlessly through rap, afrobeat, dancehall, and techno, shaking dancefloors across Australia. Together, they’ll be setting the heart of the dancefloor alight with a B2B set sure to get bodies moving on the asphalt.
Stepping onto the lineup, Kayan—the multi-hyphenate artist, singer, and DJ pushing the boundaries of Indian club culture. A Spotify Radar artist and Forbes 30 Under 30 talent, Kayan has carved out a space uniquely her own. Her 2023 Mumbai Boiler Room set was a masterclass in sound—hip-hop, rap, and pop reimagined for the dancefloor. Now, she makes her highly anticipated Australian debut at Summer Dance 2025.
Rounding out this red-hot lineup is Kafi. A key player in Eora’s ever-evolving club scene, Kafi has been shaping the sound of the underground through his work with the South Asian collective Kerfew. Expect an unpredictable, high-energy set that blends his bold, eclectic style with the infectious energy of an open-air dancefloor.
From start to finish, this season finale is set to be a high-voltage celebration of music, movement, and community—one last dance under the open sky before we bid Summer Dance farewell. Don’t miss it.
The Kiffness
Viral sensation The Kiffness will soon make the leap from the internet to Australian stages for the first time. A summery solo project of South African musician and producer David Scott since 2013, The Kiffness initially gained notoriety in his country through satirical songs about politics, but did not rise to global internet fame until 2020 with his Coronavirus parody song and fun “collaborations” with various animals and people from all over the world wide web. It seems he had struck internet gold, with his marriage of cute critters, existing viral sensations, memes, and jazzy tunes now garnering him streams and followers in multi-millions across all platforms – his YouTube channel is fast approaching ¾ of a billion plays in itself. Scott however did not leave his politically active roots behind, with many of his releases having raised funds for various animal welfare causes, charities, and even humanitarian aid for Ukraine. It’s time for some silly, self-aware fun on the all ages ‘The Outbark’ tour as when it hits Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane this September! Assets attached.

Ill Nino
ILL NINO ANNOUNCE FIRST AUSTRALIAN TOUR IN 8 YEARS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS ADEMA
After an 8-year hiatus from Australian stages, ILL NINO, the trailblazing Latin-influenced metal band that redefined heavy music, is set to return for a blistering run of shows across Australia. This long-awaited tour will feature special guests ADEMA.
ILL NINO, known for their explosive live performances and genre-defining fusion of heavy metal and Latin influences, will bring their unique sound to Australian venues in September 2025. The band’s return is highly anticipated, as they prepare to deliver a high-octane setlist filled with fan-favourite hits and new tracks.
ILL NINO released their ground-breaking debut album Revolution Revolución in 2001. Whilst their sophomore album Confession boasting the U.S. smash hit single ‘How Can I Live’, hit the Billboard Top 40 and has gone on to sell over 600,000 copies.
Joining ILL NINO on their Australian journey, for the first time ever are U.S. Post-Grunge, Alternate Metal band Adema, who will bring their signature sound of hard-hitting electronic rock and nu-metal to the stage.
The two bands are set to deliver an evening of hyped-up intensity, bringing a mix of heavy riffs, Latin infused percussion, emotionally engaging lyrics, and powerful performances that will make this an unmissable experience.
Currents & Chelsea Grin
Legacy metal band Chelsea Grin (US) and metalcore innovators Currents (US) have announced a stacked Australian co-headline tour this May with special guests Bloom & HEAVENSGATE.
Salt Lake City’s Chelsea Grin last visited Australia in 2023 in support of Thy Art Is Murder‘s Decade Of Hate Tour with Whitechapel, and their early days saw them debut at Soundwave Festival and on tours with The Amity Affliction and Boris The Blade. Chelsea Grin bring decades of experience to the metal scene and are pioneers of the sub-genre, Deathcore. Forming in 2007, the group has put out multiple full length albums, toured the world nonstop since their inception and have managed to stay relevant in the alternative community for close to two decades. Selling out venues around the world, their music speaks to their fans that have stayed loyal to them throughout the years.
Connecticut post-metalcore outfit Currents, returning to Australia after making an impression in 2023 on Polaris‘ Fatalism Tour with Kublai Khanand August Burns Red. Currents don’t pretend that life is a bed of well-manicured roses. Rather, it has been by way of exploring the forbidden realms of a tortured psyche and ferociously searching for meaning amidst uncertain chaos that the band has won the hearts of metal fans across the globe; a feat evidenced by 80+ million catalog streams and packed tours supporting the likes of Ice Nine Kills, Thy Art is Murder, As I Lay Dying, We Came As Romans, Fit For A King, and more.
