Imminence

One of the most in-demand acts in modern alternative music, today Swedish violincore pioneers IMMINENCE announce their return to Australian shores, set to bewitch crowds across the country with a headline run this October.

Ticking off their debut headline tour down under later this year, IMMINENCE will commence proceedings on Friday 10 October in Brisbane, before heading to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and closing out in Perth on Wednesday 15 October.

A band bound to weaving their own unique sonic universe, pushing alternative metalcore into astonishing terrains that few could dream of, IMMINENCE have spent over a decade crafting their trademark take on the heavy realms. Blending classical string arrangements with the influence of ferocious Scandinavian metal, the ever-growing IMMINENCE success story spans millions of streams and online followers, performances at some of the biggest heavy festivals on the planet, and entirely sold out shows of their own, including their standalone Good Things Festival headline sideshows in Australia last year that sold out in record time.

Boasting an elegant ferocity that obliterates any genre confines, IMMINENCE have delivered fluctuating masterpieces over the years, from their debut 2014 album I, through to 2017’s This Is Goodbye, 2019’s Turn the Light On, 2021’s Heaven In Hiding and 2024’s The Black. 2024 also saw the band re-record their debut LP I for its 10th anniversary, releasing The Reclamation of I, while 2025 saw the group unveil The Return of The Black, expanding on the global triumph that was 2024’s The Black with re-mastered versions and a star-studded lineup of guest musicians for this special extended edition.

With IMMINENCE‘s signature style, aptly dubbed violincore by fans, there is no surprise that a live IMMINENCE experience is packed full of palpitating moments, balancing violin virtuosity with sprawling heaviness, enigmatic theatricality and raw intimacy, with Wall of Sound enthusing of their 2024 Australian performance that “if you weren’t touched by the heartfelt yet brutish screams, you were entranced by the swiping bow sending majestic screeches throughout the venue”.

While the Swedish maestros performed for the first time in Australia last year as part of Good Things Festival, their hotly-anticipated return to our shores this year will bring the full IMMINENCE headline experience. And with appearances locked for a horde of festivals before they return down under, including Hellfest, 2000trees Festival, Louder Than Life Festival and Aftershock, IMMINENCE‘s touring history over the years has also seen them share stages with giants of the heavy scene, including Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, In Flames and many more.

Offering a performance truly like no other, it’s little wonder that IMMINENCE‘s previous Aussie sideshows sold out in record time. Don’t miss your chance to witness the IMMINENCE magic as part of their first ever full Australian headline tour this October.

Ben Lee

Hi, it’s your friend Ben.

Hope all’s well.

I am celebrating the 20th anniversary Awake is the New Sleep with an Australian tour for September and October.

I’m not really a nostalgic person, I prefer to keep pushing forward with new projects and ideas, but this feels weirdly right to me. I’ve done so much touring in the last couple of years, averaging about 100 shows a year, and it’s become abundantly clear to me that this album Awake was a really vital part of so many people’s lives and emotional journeys. I’ve chatted to so many people about the wide-eyed exploration and optimism of the record, and how it still seems to find people at the exact right time that they need that kind of energy.

It’s an album that seemed to change a lot of lives, including mine. I’m looking forward to facing that, head on, and exploring what these songs mean to me and the audience today, 20 years on. They still feel potent.

I’m going to play the whole album in full, with a great band behind me, and tell you some stories about how these tunes came to be. We’re doing it 2005 style, no backing tracks, no click tracks, no video screens. Just a great band on a stage covered in flowers, singing songs about love and lust and adventure and interconnectivity. It’s gonna be a vibe.

Come along for the ride.

Big love!

Your friend.

Ben

Night Lovell

Renowned for his dark and atmospheric soundscapes that make way for enthralling rap performances, Canadian songwriter and producer NIGHT LOVELL is finally bringing his 8 LEGS UNDER tour through to Australia and New Zealand this November, with very special guest HAARPER.

For Night Lovell, his trajectory towards global fame has been a rapid one since his first taste of viral success in 2014, with the release of his track ‘Dark Light’. Since then, the 27 year old from Ontario has evolved into an artist whose intricacies have been fascinating waves of hip hop fans and producers worldwide. The Canadian artis has also recently announced that he will be joining $UICIDEBOY$ on tour this August and September for their GREY DAY North American Tour!

With four albums to his name including latest release, 2023’s I Hope You’re Happy, Night Lovell has become a charged up force within this modern musical space – his music has been streamed over 1.1 billion times on Spotify alone.

Joining him on this tour will be Los Angeles’ HAARPER – a star of the underground who has been generating waves of his own in the mainstream, thanks to an infectious sonic style – for his debut Australian & New Zealand visit. HAARPER’s catalogue has accrued over 500 million streams, with a three album-strong body of work demonstrating a varied set of influences that span hip hop, garage and punk music. Latest track ‘Born From The Dirt’ is a prime example of HAARPER’s expansive sonic view; translated live, this stands to be a fitting addition to an already insane performance reputation.

Simple Plan

In 2025, SIMPLE PLAN history will be made in Australia, with the revered Canadian rockers today announcing a surprise special headline show in Sydney at the Liberty Hall on Saturday 10th May playing their 2004 sophomore album Still Not Getting Any… in full in its entirety for the first time ever.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday 29 April at 12pm AEST time.

“Still Not Getting Any…” is one of our favourite albums we’ve made and last fall it celebrated its twentieth anniversary! We haven’t had the chance to properly celebrate the milestone and because we are not big fans of just sitting around, we thought we would take advantage of the few days off we have in Australia and do something really special….something we’ve never done before anywhere else in the world! We found a small, intimate venue and we’re gonna play the album in its entirety for our fans in Sydney!
We’re not sure when or even if we’ll ever do this again, so you know this is gonna be a very special show. We hope to see you all at Liberty Hall on May 10th” – Chuck Comeau, Simple Plan

Introducing the world to smash hits like Welcome to My Life, Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?) and Shut Up! over two decades ago, Still Not Getting Any… cemented SIMPLE PLAN’s legacy as bona fide pop punk legends with the album’s moments of perky pop fused with timeless teenage angst and sharpened rock undertones offering the ultimate soundtrack for the mid-2000s; and one that still firmly permeates to this day.
