Municipal Waste

MUNICIPAL WASTE finally announce their triumphant and probably somewhat inebriated return to Australia shores for the first time since 2013!

Formed in Richmond, Virginia, Thrash Metal Crossover party dudes Municipal Waste rose from the salty remains of a New Years Eve Keg Party in 2000/2001, in which they were later blamed for inciting a minor riot. MUNICIPAL WASTE have uncompromisingly stuck to their guns for over 20 years as the hard-partying and even harder-hitting torchbearers of 21st Century Crossover Thrash Metal. After staggering on to the scene with their 2003 debut album Waste ‘Em All, MUNICIPAL WASTE have transformed from a cult favourite into metal mainstays for a generation by reviving the Thrash scene.

MUNICIPAL WASTE are 7 albums (and a string of EP’s) deep into a career that shows no slowing down, no matter how hard they party, in fact if anything their career is on an upward trajectory! Among their many highlights, Metal Hammer christened 2007’s The Art of Partying one of “The 50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Ever,” whilst 2017’s Slime and Punishment crashed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, along the way they have also sold-out countless shows on multiple continents and piled up tens of millions of streams in the process.

Tony Foresta [vocals], Ryan Waste [guitar], Philip “Landphil” Hall [bass], Dave Witte [drums], and Nick Poulos [guitar] promise to deliver an uncompromising, beer drenched, sweat inducing, high-octane audio-visual extravaganza while their relentless riffage, infectious energy will ensure the pit is whipped into a frenzy!

“We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pi*sed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority,” says Tony.

Australian fans will be able to shake off the Winter blues and jump head-first into one of the year’s biggest parties as MUNICIPAL WASTE heat up Australia in July! Cheers!

Starting in Melbourne, the captivating live show will then head to Castlemaine, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart and Brisbane, before finishing up in the band’s hometown, Sydney.

There is a question at the heart of Faith Crisis Pt 1, the third album from Sydney’s emotive indie trio Middle Kids. Over 13 propulsive, ecstatic and gorgeous tracks, songwriter and vocalist Hannah Joy attempts to tease out the question of belief; the breaking of it, and how it is rebuilt.

Co-produced by Tim Fitz and Jonathan Gilmore (The 1975, Beabadoobee), Joy and bandmates Fitz and Harry Day masterfully express the sensation of being overwhelmed, swept up and dragged down in songs that exalt and lift you higher.

Featuring a collaboration with Gang of Youths frontman Dave Le’aupepe, Faith Crisis Pt 1 is brimming with yearning, angst, pop brightness, belief in love and reassurance that even from the bottom, it’s possible to believe in beautiful things.

Middle Kids’ last album Today We’re The Greatestwon Best Rock Album at the 2021 ARIA Awards. Released at the height of the pandemic, the album garnered the band several US TV show performances including Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and The Late, Late Show with James Cordon.
