The world’s premier one-vs-one street dance competition, Red Bull Dance Your Style, returns to Australia for the National Qualifier on 25 July in search of the country’s best street dancers. The audience gets to be the judge by voting the winner of each battle, deciding who advances to the next round. There’s no pressure of a panel of judges and no planned choreography, it’s all about embracing the moment and moving to the beat of unpredictable music.

Taking place at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on 25 July, the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Qualifier will crown four champions from across the country to take part in the National Final on Sat 26th July. Followign th at battle Afrobeats, Soul and RnB DJs will take to the stage for a late night dance party.

A regular feature on social media, the fashion industry, film and music videos, the popularity of street dance continues to surge worldwide. Last year’s Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final amassed over 1.6 billion views across the globe, with plenty of ‘internet breaking’ clips including Champion MT Pop’s winning battle that went viral. Now Australians will have the unmissable chance to witness viral moments like these in-person at the National Final, before they make it to millions of phone screens across the world.

Making a difference with its open and inclusive status, the one-of-a-kind competition offers enormous freedom of expression where everyone can take to the stage to live their dream: Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking, Waacking, Tutting, Voguing, Krump, Afro Dance or Dancehall are some of the dance styles eligible, but not the only ones.
